Institution Markets
Data sources and freshness.
Institution serves normalized, cached market information from its own database. Provider credentials and implementation details are never exposed to visitors.
Data categories
Server-side onlyDelayed U.S. market prices and end-of-day international equity data are normalized server-side before publication.
Issuer, security, listing and exchange identities are resolved into canonical company records so secondary listings are not blindly double-counted.
Official filing sources may supplement U.S. issuer identity and filing metadata where reliable.
Daily FX is stored centrally so foreign market capitalizations can be normalized into USD consistently.
Company charts use cached historical stock-price observations. Institution does not fabricate long-run historical market capitalization.
Publication policy
Market information may be delayed. Institution keeps the last validated observation when an upstream request fails rather than replacing good data with blank or malformed values.
Current market-cap values and rankings are timestamped. International rankings are generally refreshed after the relevant market close.
