Compare the underlying accounting assignment

indinero publishes accounting, tax, and CFO support under a finance-as-a-service model. Institution offers managed accounting and related finance operations, tax coordination, and compliance services. Both descriptions can cover several needs, so start with the records and deliverables your company requires.

List the legal entities, accounting basis, bank accounts, sales channels, payroll systems, and reports. Include the current condition of the books. A proposal for ongoing maintenance should not be confused with the historical work required to establish reliable opening balances.

Clarify the software arrangement

Ask which ledger will hold the accounting record and whether your existing system stays in place. Confirm integration scope, administrative access, data exports, and the cost of migration. A provider's ability to work with a system does not establish that your particular workflows are already configured.

Institution's connected accounting requires QuickBooks Online, with its Intuit subscription billed separately. Check the actual requirements of the indinero proposal as well, including any ERP conversion. Compare the total software and implementation workload before approving a move.

Follow one tax adjustment back into the books

Ask who prepares the return, reviews tax adjustments, approves them, and posts changes back to the ledger. Coordination and professional preparation are separate responsibilities even when they are sold in one relationship.

An adjustment left only in the preparer's file can create a disagreement over next year's opening balances. Request a year-end handoff containing the approved trial balance, relevant adjustments, filings, and open questions. Verify the professional responsible for licensed work.

Compare implementation and steady-state service

Request an onboarding plan identifying source access, cleanup, policy decisions, first-close acceptance, and recurring deadlines. Separate the one-time price from monthly accounting, tax work, planning, and additional entities.

Choose using a sample report and an ordinary exception from your business. Ask how an unexplained payment or a contract change is assigned, reviewed, and resolved. The stronger proposal will make that process understandable before you depend on it for a management or filing deadline.
