Write down the dates each report uses
Apple's financial reports are generated around its fiscal calendar. Their period can therefore differ from the calendar month used in your accounting close. Record the actual start and end dates of each downloaded report rather than assuming that a month label identifies the same interval as the ledger.
Apple also distinguishes sales-report estimates from finalized financial reporting. Its documentation identifies processing status and exchange-rate treatment as reasons the reports can differ. Establish which report supports each part of the reconciliation: activity, finalized proceeds or bank receipt. A disagreement between them is a question to explain, not automatically an error to eliminate.

Build a bridge around the period boundaries
Obtain the detailed records available for the relevant fiscal periods and identify transactions near the accounting month-end. Preserve transaction and settlement dates where supplied. Map the records to the accountant's approved cutoff method, keeping transactions included from an adjacent fiscal period and excluded from the current one separately visible.
If source detail is incomplete for the close date, document the estimate and its basis with the accounting reviewer. Do not relabel an entire fiscal-period total as a calendar-month result simply because it is the closest available file. Set a follow-up date to reconcile the estimate when the finalized information arrives.
Separate timing from currency and adjustments
Reconcile the period difference first in the relevant source currencies where possible. Then identify refunds, adjustments and the currency conversion used in the financial reports. Apple explains that Sales and Trends estimates use a different exchange-rate approach from the conversion applied to finalized payments. Preserve those differences rather than treating them as unexplained sales movements.
For illustration, a fiscal report may include several days from the prior calendar month and omit several days at the end of the current one. Moving the relevant activity addresses the period boundary, but it does not by itself explain a different translated proceeds total. Keep timing and exchange components separate so the bridge can be checked one cause at a time.

Keep subscription service evidence in the revenue review
Provide accounting with the subscription product, service period and approved channel policy as well as proceeds reports. The date a transaction is processed or a payment is sent is not enough by itself to establish the revenue-recognition period. The accountant should determine how the contract and delivery evidence fit the applicable reporting framework.
Reconcile the channel balance from opening amounts through current activity, adjustments and receipts to the closing amount. Match bank deposits to the appropriate payment information without forcing each deposit to equal one calendar month's activity. Retain any unsettled balance and its expected resolution in the close workpaper.
Make the bridge repeatable for the next close
Maintain a calendar mapping and a list of report types, currencies and access permissions required for the process. Assign the download, preparation and review responsibilities. Preserve original files with their extraction dates, because a later report may contain finalized information that differs from an earlier estimate.
Review the prior estimate against the eventual outcome and explain material differences. Check that all regions with relevant activity are represented before approving completeness. The finished close packet should let another accountant move from Apple fiscal reports to the business's reporting period, then to the channel balance and cash receipts, with each adjustment supported.
