Track customer invoices

Upload invoices you send to customers and follow what is outstanding.

Updated 2026-10-11

Receivables, under Invoices and bills, tracks what your customers owe you: invoice numbers, due dates, and collection status. Do not confuse it with the Invoices page, which shows what Institution bills you.

Upload invoices

  1. Open Receivables and choose Upload invoices.
  2. Add your customer invoice files.
  3. Wait while Institution Max reads each invoice. It captures the customer, the invoice number, the amount, and the due date.
  4. Review the receivable it creates against the source invoice.

Keep it current

You can mark an invoice as sent, and record full payment when the customer pays. Search by invoice number or description, and filter by status. If a record is flagged as needing counterparty review, check the customer name against the source.

Max builds the record, but you should check the details against the source before acting on it, especially amounts and due dates.
